HELP FUND the FUTURE of our YOUTH

MMG Foundation GOFUNDME Appeal - UPDATE - January 2023

Since launching our ‘Help Fund the Future of Our Youth’ appeal in July, the MMG Foundation wish to give you an update on progress as follows:

• We held our fundraising event on August 17th, at the National Theatre in Accra (venue sponsored ). The event titled ‘Footsteps of Garvey in Africa’ was led by performances by students from a range of local schools. Was a good event, enjoyed by all. We will build on this model, for our next annual event. (see the Facebook page, web.facebook.com/mmgfghana/)

• We have secured funding to run our first course in Electronics for CCTV. Feels exciting! (see flyer)

• There has been a good response to our course, so we are all set for our first intake of students in January 2023. Great!

The MMG Foundation are a small team, who continues to work hard to make our vocational training programme a reality. Fundraising is ongoing, we have partnered with a range of agencies for our training, attracted sponsors, and keep finding creative ways to raise resources, cash and in-kind.

We are making progress, lots more to achieve though, as this is only the beginning.

We would appreciate your continued support so that we can:

• Train as many unemployed youths as we can in 2023

• Run more of our courses in 2023

• Establish our training programme as a permanent community resource
