Armenian Soldiers' Mental Health Treatment

Donation protected
**Who we are**
Frontline Therapists, a 501(c)(3) organization (non-profit), was created in response to the 44 Day war with one mission in mind – to provide sustainable emergency mental health services to those affected by this life-altering event. As thousands of Armenian soldiers continue experiencing unprecedented levels of trauma from the field, the need for and importance of mental health services is indisputable and vital to their long road to recovery. Mental health therapy should be an ongoing service provided to our military men and the community, as the repercussions of war extend far and deep.

**What we have done**
Provided direct care to the military, volunteer soldiers, family members of martyrs, and other professionals consequently impacted by the war.
Visited hospitals, military bases, homes, shelters, and villages bordering the affected regions to provide individual therapy or hold group therapy sessions.
Alternative therapy forms such as art therapy, mindfulness and meditation practices have also been incorporated into our interactions. Creating awareness and building advocacy in the local community.
Conducted over 10 seminars and training for local therapists to increase knowledge and skills. Multiple community-based events aimed at raising awareness and understanding about mental health and well-being.

Our services have been and continue to be free of charge

**What we will continue to do**
Provide comprehensive mental health treatment for 100 soldiers over 6 months. This will include weekly individual trauma-focused counseling, linkage to social services, psychiatric care when needed, and access to alternative modalities such as art therapy, meditation practices, mindfulness activities, etc.

This will cover various expenses, including the cost of psychiatric care and medicine, material costs- art supplies, transportation costs, and most importantly, provide a competitive salary for the professionals treating the soldiers.
