Our hearts are shattered as we write this. We never imagined we would be asking for help this way, but our family is facing a storm we cannot weather alone. Our mom, a grandmother of 11 beautiful grandchildren with one more on the way, and a woman whose entire life has been a testimony of faith is currently being detained by ICE.

Our mom has no criminal record, not even a blemish. She has lived her life with honesty, compassion, and devotion. She is a woman of God who prays for others more than she prays for herself. Her faith is the backbone of our family, the reason we have survived every hardship, and the light she extends to everyone she meets.

To know our mother is to know love in action. She has a huge heart, overflowing with kindness and grace. Her hospitality is unmatched. She opens her home, her kitchen, and her spirit to anyone in need. She raised seven children on her own, not with wealth or privilege, but with strength, prayer, and a love so deep it carried us through every trial.

She is the grandmother and mother who prays over every child daily, who dreams of holding her next grandbaby coming soon. She is the mother who went without so that we didn’t have to. She is the woman who will give you her last dollar and thank God for the chance to help you.

Seeing her detained, treated like she is less than the extraordinary woman she is, has brought us to our knees. We are holding onto faith believing that God can open doors no man can close.

We are raising funds for:

* Legal representation to fight for her release

* Phone and communication costs so we can hear her voice

* Travel expenses to visit and support her

* Any humanitarian needs she may have while detained

Psalm 72: Justice shall flourish in his time, and fullness of peace for ever.

Nuestros corazones están destrozados mientras escribimos esto. Nunca imaginamos que pediríamos ayuda de esta manera, pero nuestra familia se enfrenta a una tormenta que no podemos soportar solos. Nuestra madre, una abuela de 11 hermosos nietos con uno más en camino, y una mujer que la vida entera ha sido un testimonio de fe, está actualmente detenida por ICE.

Nuestra madre no tiene antecedentes penales, ni siquiera una mancha. Ella ha vivido su vida con honestidad, compasión y devoción. Ella es una mujer de Dios que reza por los demás más que por sí misma. Su fe es la columna vertebral de nuestra familia, la razón por la que hemos sobrevivido a todas las dificultades y la luz que extiende a todos los que conoce.

Conocer a nuestra madre es conocer el amor en acción. Ella tiene un gran corazón, rebosante de bondad y gracia. Su hospitalidad no tiene parangón. Ella abre su hogar, su cocina y su espíritu a cualquiera que lo necesite. Ella crió a siete hijos por su cuenta, no con riqueza o privilegio, sino con fuerza, oración y un amor tan profundo que nos llevó a través de cada prueba.

Ella es la mama/abuela que reza por cada uno de sus hijos/nietos/ familia/amigos/extraños y que sueña con sostener a su próximo nieto pronto. Ella es la madre que se fue sin para que nosotros no tuvieramos que hacerlo. Ella es la mujer que te dará su último dólar y agradecerá a Dios por la oportunidad de ayudarte.

Verla detenida, tratada como si fuera menos que la mujer extraordinaria que es, nos ha puesto de rodillas. Nos aferramos a la fe creyendo que Dios puede abrir puertas que ningún hombre puede cerrar.
