Thank you to my friends who encouraged me to reach out to my communities for support. As well as a big thank you to the dear friend who wrote the kind words below to get this started.
Earlier this year, Frankie made the exciting decision to save up and purchase a bike. Looking to make a purchase that would allow him to bike most of the year in Minneapolis, and support his physical and mental health, Frankie was finally able to buy the bike of his dreams after months of setting aside funds. Unfortunately, his new bike was stolen within two days of taking it home. This is a heartbreaking and frustrating set back, especially while managing the turmoil that 2020 has brought to BIPOC folks, trans* people, and the entertainment industry: all aspects of Frankie's life.
If you have the pleasure of knowing Frankie, you know the generosity and joy he brings to any room, you also know that he is committed to supporting other early-career BIPOC and LQBTQ+ in the theatre industry. Frankie does this by showing up as his authentic self, encouraging others to do the same, and cheering on others in their personal or professional journey. Our industry, and our world, need more folks who show up the way Frankie does. While this year has been exceptionally challenging for many, Frankie is humbly asking for your support in replacing his stolen bike.
The financial goal on this page includes the cost of replacing the bike he purchased, as well as other pieces that were stolen. Help Frankie replace his bike and get rolling, once more, towards a mode of transportation that will support his physical and mental health needs. Frankie is committed to donating any excess funds to Mutual Aid in the Twin Cities, particularly those that support cycling.
