Help For The McLendon

Bill and Jacki McLendon are an elderly couple who are in need of financial help. Mr.McLendon, a very hardworking man, loving father, provider and loving husband unfortunately began to struggle finding work after the company he dedicated 20 years of his life to, closed down abruptly. Leaving him jobless, to add to the hardships, Mr.McLendon has been diagnosed with Heart Disease, Arthritis in his lower back, COPD, as well as depression that has set in, with his illness it has made it even harder to find work. Mrs.McLendon suffered a car accident many years ago that hinders her ability to stand for long periods of time, but it hasn't stopped her from making ends meet as well as raising and homeschooling her children and being an amazing caregiver.

Their Situation
Right now their biggest issue is their 20 yr old car-or rather dead car. Few weeks ago it blew a head gasket, which costs way more then what they have, and a whole lot more then what its worth, with it being their only means of transportation, its become a serious problem. Their air conditioning unit also quit working in the beginning of the summer, their kitchen sink developed a bad leak in the drain line in the wall behind the kitchen cabinets, that has leaked into the basement and under the kitchen floors causing them to buckle in places. Their dishwasher also doesn't work, so due to them not having a sink or working dishwasher they've resorted to washing dishes in their bathtub. Their dryer has developed a short in it, their washers days are also numbered because, it sounds as if it may be on its last legs. The list goes on, their basement has become a danger zone because the stairs have become so loose from the joist that they are standing on the upright boards, and its very unsafe.
