Help for the farm at Milk Maids get on their feet

So if anyone came today after mid day & we was a little out of sorts,

Here’s why...
4 lads under 16 decided to set fire to a barn, with 17 animals in some in calf and a barn full of hay on fire.

So the cows got out (thanks to a passer by, who let them free before they died from smoke inhalation/burnt alive)

Every single bale of hay has burnt, why is this so devastating? Well you know in the summer when you see lots of tractors, mowing, dry-ing out grass and then bailing it... well that, that is the cows food in winter when the grass isn’t growing very quickly. So imagine you have an animal and you’ve worked loads to provide there feed for 6 months and someone comes along and burns it... for “fun”

& then to top it off the whole barn is ruined, and now is non existent

So while we tried to carry on serving. The rest of our family & some amazing family friends/neighbours tried to round up the cows & managed to get them all back here safely, so thank you because today could have gone so much worse.

Our dad in his 50’s sat back, as he can’t run (awaiting a hip op) and was violently sick at pure disgust and shock in what these lads have done to his barn, cows & feed.

I hope the parents see this post, and realise what devastation their childrens 2 seconds of “fun” has had on our family and farm today.
