Anyone who knows Sara knows she is a tattooed bad-ass with a heart of gold. She is a mother of 2 kids who she loves with every fiber of her being. She's a devoted wife and an amazing sister. She spoils her nieces and nephew and her sweet grand daughter every chance she gets. She will rescue any animal, the uglier and more unlovable the better.

Sara has been battling one of the rarest and most aggressive forms of cancer, Leiomyosarcoma, for the past 3 years. Despite almost non-stop chemo and countless procedures, tests, and hospitalizations the cancer has continued to spread to nearly every organ in her body. At this point, there is no hope for survival. We can only try to give her more time. To make matters worse, her life insurance has dropped her due to a clerical error. In the coming weeks Sara will be seeking out experimental clinical trials at Wayne State and Ohio State Universities. She will also be undergoing more testing and procedures to discover if there is another type of chemo that may help to give her more time.

Sara was given the option to begin hospice care but she chose instead to continue to fight. I want to help her in that fight the only way that I know, by helping to cover medical expenses, travel expenses, and eventual end of life care for her. Many people have approached me asking if there is anything they can do to help, which is why I decided to create this fundraiser.
