Help for Paty: Cancer sucks

Everyone that knows us, knows Paty. You have seen her in pictures and heard my kids speak of her. You know about my devotion to this woman who has given us so much of herself. We love her so much we wanted other kids to know her love. She babysat for our neighbor when Josue and Victoria were in school full-time and then most recently she was babysitting Eli, Dulce and Derrick’s baby.
Paty babysat Josue and then Victoria until literally, Covid. When they were little, we’d exchange “good mornings” as I would rush out the door at 5:30am to drive or catch BART to work. She’d get them up, feed them, wash their clothes and bathe them every day for years and years. Once they got older and went to school all day, she’d pick them up from school and be with them until I or Ezequiel got home. We love her like a grandma and though she is “Paty”, she is so much more. She gives unconditional love. She’s patient and kind. She’s humble and loving. She’s sensitive and strong. She’s our one and only, Paty.
Paty has been diagnosed with cancer. Stupid cancer has no limits, no barriers and doesn’t discriminate. Damn cancer throws everyone in a loop and messes up our plans, our lives and our hearts.
They have set her up with 8 chemo sessions, 1 every two weeks. She’ll hopefully be done by the end of July 2021.
She has a partner of 17 years, Jose, who works hard to make a living but now has become her main caregiver since they don’t have any family living in the Bay Area.
They work hard for their money and live a humble but happy life. They live in an apartment that they keep impeccable. Now that she has started chemo she can’t watch Eli and Jose is the only one working. I would love to see them without the worry about paying their rent during this chemo therapy.
First and foremost, your prayers and good thoughts will be greatly appreciated. They would never ask for anything but I’d like to help them out with a few months worth of rent to make their process less weary. This help will allow Jose to focus on her, on his days off, and not have to take on extra work to make ends meet.

Todos los que nos conocen, conocen a Paty. La han visto en fotos y escuchado a mis hijos hablar de ella. Saben de nuestra devoción por esta mujer que nos ha dado tanto de sí misma. La amamos tanto que queríamos que otros niños conocieran su amor. Cuidaba de nuestro vecino cuando Josué y Victoria estaban en la escuela a tiempo completo y, más recientemente, estaba cuidando a Eli, el bebé de Dulce y Derrick.
Paty cuidó a Josue desde bebe y luego a Victoria hasta que, literalmente, Covid llego. Cuando eran pequeños, intercambiábamos "buenos días" mientras yo salía corriendo por la puerta a las 5:30 am para conducir o tomar el BART para ir al trabajo. Ella los levantaba, los alimentaba, les lavaba la ropa y los bañaba todos los días durante años y años. Una vez que fueran a la escuela todo el día, ella los recogía y estaba con ellos hasta que yo o Ezequiel llegáramos a casa. La amamos como a una abuela y, aunque es "Paty", es mucho más. Ella da amor incondicional. Ella es paciente y amable. Ella es humilde y cariñosa. Ella es sensible y fuerte.
A Paty le han diagnosticado cáncer. El cáncer no tiene límites, no tiene barreras y no discrimina. El maldito cáncer arruina nuestros planes, nuestras vidas y nuestros corazones.
Le han programado 8 sesiones de quimioterapia, 1 cada dos semanas. Con suerte y la bendición de Dios acabará los tratamientos para finales de julio de 2021.
Tiene un compañero de 17 años, José, que trabaja duro para ganarse la vida, pero ahora se ha convertido en su principal cuidador ya que no tienen familia viviendo en el Área de la Bahía.
Trabajan duro y viven una vida humilde pero feliz. Viven en un departamento que mantienen impecable. Ahora que ha comenzado la quimioterapia, no puede cuidar a Eli y José es el único que trabaja. Me encantaría verlos sin la preocupación de pagar su renta durante el proceso de quimioterapia.
En primer lugar, sus oraciones y buenos pensamientos serán muy apreciados. Nunca pedirían nada, pero me gustaría ayudarlos con unos meses de renta para que su proceso sea menos cansado y preocupante. Esta ayuda le permitirá a José concentrarse en ella, en sus días libres, y no tener que hacer trabajo extra para llegar a fin de mes.
