HELP FOR OUR SMALL BUSINESSES

Small businesses need our help. These businesses are the heart of our community. They bring our community alive. They employ our residents and provide income to feed our families, pay our rents, and survive here. Our community will not thrive without our businesses and their employees. Many of our small businesses are on the ragged edge of survival and must reinvent the way they do business in these times. Even a limited amount of help can go a long way.
The Rotary Clubs of Bishop are raising funds for supplies, modifications and support for small, local businesses to adapt to our “new normal”. (John Helm is our Treasurer and collects the donations.) The types of things we know are needed now are:
~ Safety barriers and other COVID specific requirements. Restaurants, barber shops, stylists and many other businesses are required to invest to keep their employees and customers safe.
~ Modifications for indoor and/or outdoor accommodations (shade structures, umbrellas, mist systems, outdoor furniture, etc.). Bishop has made it easier for restaurants to serve customers outside, but they need help getting set up.
~ Internet assistance for setting up a web presence, online appointments and/or ordering system, online store and other internet needs.
~ Other needs defined by each small business.
PLEASE GIVE NOW TO HELP LOCAL BUSINESSES. Your donation will help put a small business on its feet again. It will go toward allowing people to go back to work. Your donation will help us all get back to normal.

THE DRAWING: The drawing entry deadline was August 15, 2020. The drawing will be conducted on August 24, 2020 on Sierra Wave Radio (92.5). Find more information at www.bishopsunriserotary.org . Winners will be listed on the website after the drawing in mid-August.
THE PRIZES:
1st Prize - One case of Napa Valley wines hand-selected by Kelly Rios, Vineyard Operations Manager and viticulturist for Renteria Vineyard Management Company. The case includes 2 of each: Venge Scout's Honor Red Blend, Plumpjack Reserve Chardonnay, Venge Jewell Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc, Venge Signal Fire Zin, Cade Sauvignon Blanc, and Croix Pinot.
2nd Prize - A prime selection of California Olive Oils and an Italian Balsamic Vinegar from the St. Helena Olive Oil Company including Jaeger Family EVOO. Jaeger is a Napa Valley Extra Virgin Olive Oil made from Italian and Spanish varietal olives sourced from the Jaeger property on the valley floor in Napa. Lemon EVOO is made from a blend of essential oil from organic lemons with late harvest California Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
3rd Prize - Two bottles of sparkling wine from the Napa Valley.
