Help for clerk during robbery

Late Friday night/Early Saturday morning, I pulled into a north side gas station amidst an in progress armed robbery. I had a gun pointed at me but was able to safely evacuate. I called 911 (shown, as proof of event) and, once informed police were on scene, returned to give my witness account. 

During this time I talked with the clerk- who was unhurt but understandably shaken. He informed me he has a wife and child, and this was his 3rd time being robbed since November. 

Late Saturday night, I stopped back in and was surprised to find him at work. He told me he was given the option to take the night off but “couldn’t financially miss the hours.”

This broke my heart. 

This man is not entitled to anything but his safety, that I realize. However, I’d love to surprise him with a check that lets him know his hard work and diligence to his family is appreciated by a community that wanted to help him with donation to be used for his choosing. 

I will sign over every dollar raised, with documented and visual proof of doing so. I will wait until the investigation is complete to say the location of the incident, as well as hope the respect of his privacy is granted.
