Fonda was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes when she was pregnant. She has worked diligently to understand this disease and do her best to stay on top of her insulin. However, diabetes causes other issues, especially when it comes to dental health. Over the years, Fonda has suffered some damage to her jaw and sinuses, including an ongoing infection that doesn't seem to go away. She has seen oral surgeons, and the cost of repairing the damage and ending the infection will be about $40,000 paid out of pocket. She needs to provide a $5,000 deposit as soon as possible so she can get this taken care of before the infection and damage get any worse.
