For over 50 years, my grandparents’ home has been the heart of our family. It’s the only home they’ve ever owned, where holidays were celebrated, grandchildren were raised, and decades of memories were made.

Today, that home is no longer safe.

The back portion of the house, an addition built years ago on a pier-and-beam foundation, is sinking. The floors are separating and sagging. There are holes in the flooring that my grandfather has temporarily patched just to keep it usable. The roof above that section is beginning to cave in. What began as small repairs has become a serious structural issue. At their age, and with their health challenges, including chronic back pain and recent medical issues, this situation is becoming dangerous. They deserve to feel safe in the home they built their lives in.

We are raising funds to:

• Stabilize and repair the foundation

• Replace damaged flooring

• Repair structural walls

• Replace failing windows

• Repair or replace the roof

• Address additional safety issues identified during inspection

We are currently gathering professional estimates so we can provide a clear and transparent cost breakdown. Our goal is to ensure every dollar raised is used responsibly and directly toward making their home safe again.

My grandparents would never ask for help. In fact, they don’t even know we’re doing this, because they are the kind of people who give first and worry about themselves last.
