I'm reaching out to you today with a heavy heart, but also with hope and determination. My grandmother and mother, two incredibly strong women who mean the world to me, are facing some of the toughest challenges life can throw their way.
My grandmother, at 70 years old, recently suffered a massive stroke that has left her struggling to move her left arm and leg. As she returns home, we realize the urgent need for a safe and comfortable mode of transportation to get her to vital medical appointments. Currently, we're navigating these trips in a small car, which is far from ideal for her condition. A van would make a world of difference in ensuring her safety and well-being.
In addition to my grandmother's health struggles, my mother, at only 48 years old, has been diagnosed with aggressive breast cancer. This devastating news comes compounded by the fact that she is also insulin-dependent diabetic. As if battling cancer wasn't enough, we've received the crushing blow that her insurance coverage is being canceled due to technicalities regarding our family's income. With treatment looming on the horizon—chemotherapy, radiation, and potentially surgery—it's imperative that we secure coverage and support for her medical expenses as swiftly as possible.This is where we need your help. Our goal is to raise $40,000 to provide essential support for my grandmother and mother during these trying times. The funds will go towards purchasing a van to facilitate my grandmother's transportation needs and covering my mother's medical expenses, including necessary treatments and ongoing care.
