Help Family Lost Home Mom Seriously Sick

Hi, my name is Josh and I’m fundraising for a family going through a very difficult situation. They lost their home and their mother is very, very ill. Dave explains the situation better than I can.

We lost the home that we had for 7 years due to circumstances beyond our control when my wife became ill last year I had to miss some work and had already missed a few days, at the same point in time the engine seized up in my jeep and had to rely on help getting to work which ultimately caused me to point out and lose my job subsequently leading to losing our home. It was sold away from the person I had rented from originally and with only cash assistance to work with it was all I could do to keep the power on and keep the basic needs that our family needed Our family consists of myself my wife of 23 years 4 grandchildren that we have custody of and 1 great grandchild that is 15 months old . 1 of the grandchildren lives with his girlfriend but we still try to help him when we can. So as hard as I tried to get a job I either had no way to get to it from the car breaking down or I wasn’t the person that employers wanted I had my resume on indeed and applied to every job I could get to even if it meant riding a bicycle walking or taking the sarta bus I also applied at mancan and explained my lack of transportation that it would have to be on the bus route or close enough to pedal. When I finally received my taxes I used them to buy a vehicle and found employment with a great company that I had worked with before unfortunately we were evicted from our home and are currently living in a motel. My wife has recently come down sick again having just spent 4 days in the hospital and has to go back in 2 weeks for surgery on her neck . Between the cost of the room, the driving back and forth to Akron working in Salem trying to find permanent housing and keeping everything going or at least trying to I find myself in a spot that I never would have fathomed on the verge of homelessness and a flat tire away from having my own mental breakdown I am literally at my whits end and am so so lost I feel as though I have failed my entire family.

The photo is from today, Here’s Sonya just out of the hospital until her surgery. Sonya is currently on 7 medications and that is taking quite a toll. Also in the photo are Dave, Heaven 15 yrs old and Zia Rose her 15 month old daughter the boys would rather not be in the picture being 17 their typical teenager.
