My name is Charity, and I’m creating this GoFundMe to support my sister, Hope, and her family in San Diego during an incredibly difficult time.

On November 3rd, their youngest child, Elora, was involved in a life-changing incident on her college campus. Our family nearly lost her, but by God’s grace, she is still here with us today.

Elora sustained severe injuries, including a spinal injury involving fractures from T5 through T8, a fractured elbow, fractured ribs, and two broken ankles. She has now been hospitalized for six weeks, and her road to recovery will be long and uncertain. At this time, doctors have shared that Elora may never walk again.

The financial strain on our family continues to grow. Unfortunately, insurance coverage has not yet been approved, and medical bills are beginning to arrive. Without insurance approval, Elora is unable to receive the physical therapy and rehabilitation she urgently needs to continue her recovery and give her the best chance at independence.

This fundraiser will help cover Elora’s physical therapy, rehabilitation, and medical expenses out of pocket, so her care is not delayed during this critical time.
