Help Eddie Become a Dad

Donation protected
My journey of becoming a new dad started in 2018, the minute my REAL father died here in Houston while in the hospital. Edward "Skeet" Robinson, Sr. passed away that year at the age of 67 due to complications from diabetes. He died on my parents' wedding anniversary of 46 years -- just as long as I've been born. As an only-child, Mom and Dad have been the cornerstone of my life and to lose the man I looked up to and dedicated my life to, was extremely devastating. My mother currently lives in Mississippi.

Dad was an extraordinary man, spiritually driven with a work ethic and sense of humor unlike no other. He took care of his family and community as a faithful husband, inspiring children and young adults alike to never give up hope. Skeet was relentless at building relationships and helping those in need. That's why I'd love more than anything to pass along these loving traits to a child of my own in an effort to build a remarkable family, in his honor.

I've hit some severe road blocks through my initial journey of surrogacy. When I partnered with a local donor agency and fertility clinic here in Houston, IVF treatment costs and donor fees increased unexpectedly and it forced me to dish out payments already in excess of over $60K. And I still had no infant child.

Thankfully, I've connected with a new surrogate agency, transported that one frozen embryo to a fertility clinic in San Diego -- and miraculously [on my birthday], I received word that the medical transfer procedure was a success and that my gestational carrier (GC) located in Oregon had become pregnant. I am NOW officially becoming a Dad!

But with this journey comes responsibility and I've hit another massive brick wall with mounting costs. Added to the fact that insurance companies and employee benefits DO NOT cover surrogacy costs for (gay) men in Texas. But despite the expenses for carrier compensation, medications, insurance costs, legal fees, lost wages and GC childcare, I won't lose hope!

I feel in my heart my late Dad's spirit pushing me forward. And your help and generosity will encourage me and give me the strength to press on in this quest to fatherhood. I must initiate an escrow fund manager to complete my surrogacy process and $20,000 is needed immediately to make this happen. Currently, hardships related to the recent Winter storm here in Houston have caused an even deeper financial setback for this endeavor.

Thank you so much for taking the time here in reading. And, most importantly, I am extremely grateful for your generosity and support through this endeavor!
