Help Diane Recover From Domestic Violence

Hi, my name is Julie and I am trying to raise money for my cousin Diane who is a victim of domestic violence. She has been living in fear for years now and her spouse of 25 years finally escalated to the point where he beat her so badly, she blacked out and was rushed to the hospital by ambulance. Luckily, Diane survived because her adult sons were home to intervene. But, had she been alone, the story could have ended differently and our hearts would be broken forever.

The most severe injuries involve her jaw which is broken in 2 places. She now requires emergency surgery which will involve having her jaw wired shut for 6 weeks. And, most of her teeth are broken.

She laid on the floor unconscious while Jon kicked her repeatedly in the face. He has taken away her dignity for years and now has taken away her beautiful smile.

I am raising this money to help Diane ease the financial burden she will endure due to missed work and her need for major dental repairs. She is not covered for dental through her insurance. Every little bit will help put that smile back on her face and give her back her self-esteem.

So why didn’t she just leave and let it get this far?

For victims of domestic violence, it’s not that simple!

She stayed because she feared for her life and she thought she could fix him. And, she stayed because this poor excuse for a man made her feel like the abuse was her own fault.

Diane is a hard working woman. She works full time as a manager and is respected by her employees. She doesn’t want to miss work and doesn’t like to have to depend on others. She has always been there for anyone who needs it and now it’s time for us to help her in her time of need.
