Help Diane Fight Colon Cancer

Hi, I’m Milly. My mom, Diane, went to the doctors for a routine colonoscopy in June, 2021 where they unexpectedly found cancer. At the time, the local doctor’s weren’t too concerned but followed up with several other tests and another colonoscopy a few months later where they found several new growths had already returned. They suggested to have a colonoscopy once a year to stay on top of it but we were all concerned about the possibility of the cancer spreading in that length of time, so she decided to contact a specialist in Wausau for a second opinion. After this doctor read her files he contacted my mom and recommended that she should immediately have surgery to remove the portion of her colon where the cancer was found (a colon resection). She had the surgery on January 12th, and is slowly recovering. Unfortunately the pathology came back showing that the cancer has spread to her lymph nodes surrounding the colon. She has an appointment with an oncologist this Friday to find out how soon she will be starting chemo and radiation, which could be in as little as two weeks. This is going to be a long tough journey, and we know that money is the last thing we want her to be worrying about. We would truly appreciate all prayers, shares, positive vibes or donations.
