**Fundraiser for Deanté Mitchell and Family**

We’re long time friends of Deanté and his family and we're here to fight!!!

This fundraiser is for Deanté Mitchell’s family. Dee is a wonderful son, brother, and friend who was diagnosed with stage 4 colorectal cancer at just 34 years old. After chemo and radiation last year, Dee required a life saving surgery this past April. Recently, he was given a 6-12 month prognosis without treatment, but he has chosen to fight! This will require him to overcome infection, more chemo, immunotherapy, clinical trials, and whatever else is needed to conquer the cancer. His family and friends have assembled around him, providing unwavering love and support on this difficult journey.

Dee is an amazingly selfless person who never hesitates to help anyone in need, even once performing life-saving chest compressions to save a stranger. He gives his all to everything he does and uses his humor to brighten the people and world around him. We’ve walked into his hospital room countless times to find him making a room full of nurses laugh and having dance parties with the techs. This world is an infinitely better place with him in it.

We’re raising funds to help the Mitchells pay for expenses as they pursue any options available to give him as many happy, healthy years as possible. These costs include meals, medical bills not covered by insurance, supplies, travel expenses, medications, and other expenses that arise. For example, an initial visit for Dee at one of the top cancer centers will be $17,500 and it is not covered by his insurance.

Dee has always shown remarkable strength, and we want to support him and his family in staying strong and having some joyful moments along the way. We want him to have many, many more birthdays, family holidays, and for him to keep spreading joy for a long, long, long time.
