Hello everyone!

As most of you know, my Aunt Deanna was diagnosed with Brain Lymphoma (Rare Brain Cancer) in the back of the brain in October of last year. She was at Ascension St. Vincent here in Evansville, then was eventually transferred to Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis for higher care. While there, she had a brain biopsy and spent about three months at Barnes Jewish Hospital. Fast forward to January of 2025, she finally was able to come home to her family and her husband, Dale.

Before her diagnosis of Brain Lymphoma, Deanna had worked as a CNA for 20 years. She tried going back to work this past May because, as we all know, a one-income household in today’s society is almost impossible. She was doing well and things were okay until June when she had to stop her chemo treatments in St. Louis. Her platelet numbers became low, her blood pressure was low, and she was so weak she could barely walk at this time. Her husband, Dale, immediately got a hold of her oncology doctor, and he asked that we transfer her ASAP to Barnes Jewish Hospital to be admitted. While at Barnes Jewish, she was found to have pneumonia. She is currently back home now and doing slightly better but still taking things slow as a precaution.

If you know Deanna, you know that she is already asking about work and can't sit for very long, especially when the bills are piling up. I’m asking anyone that is able to donate to please do so at this time to help Deanna and her husband Dale with traveling expenses to Barnes Jewish for her chemo treatments, groceries, and bills. I’m hoping to raise enough money for Deanna and Dale to take some weight off their shoulders and also for my aunt to relax and not have to worry about working at this time as it is not safe for her to do so. Anything will help and will be appreciated♥️
