Help towards Daniels funeral costs

Update - On 25th December, Daniel passed away due to his catastrophic injuries. He was surrounding by his family.

Our donations will now be to help the family give Daniel the send off that he truly deserves.

On Thursday 14th December Daniel was struck by a car when the car failed to stop and carried him over 400 metres. He suffered catastrophic life changing injuries, where he remains in a coma fighting for his life. He will need extensive rehabilitation and support when he comes around, the effects of injuries are still unknown.

The family are visiting Daniel in intensive care on a daily basis holding vigil for his recovery, travelling as far as Sweden and Manchester. They have lived in the village for years and well known to the village and surrounding areas. Their lives will now change forever to provide support financially and personally for Daniel and each other.

Daniel is a 20 year old man who had his whole life ahead of him. Due to his devastating injuries he will endure potentially a lifetime of rehabilitation, numerous operations and medications.

The community are shocked by the events that have taken place and feel that any help to ease the financial concerns that the family have is the very least we can do in supporting Daniel and his family.

Daniel should have been spending Christmas with his family and friends but will now be in hospital continuing to fight for life.
