Mystique is a 16 year old kitty who has been with me for 14 years, through high school graduation, university, multiple moves, celebrations, and heartbreaks. Earlier this year she was diagnosed with stage iv kidney disease to accompany her pancreatitis and arthritis diagnoses. Her kidneys are in better shape but unfortunately low red blood cell counts have meant some pretty tough vet bills.
Normally when I have a large vet expense, I just throw it on my visa and slowly pay it off. This is what I've been doing this year and unfortunately due to her multiple health conditions, it's become harder and harder to keep up with the costs. Mystique is such a precious family member who is beloved by everyone close to me. Her quality of life is still good if she receives these treatments so I am asking community for financial support to keep her comfortable.
On top the cost for her periodic blood/urine tests, speciality kidney health food, subcutaneous fluid bags, sedatives for vet visits, anti-nausea and appetite-stimulant medication, Mystique has also been requiring her arthritis injection ($115) and treatments to improve her red blood cell count. These red blood cell appointments have been weekly since the end of November and cost $173/week. Between just November 26th-December 27th, I've had to spend $1938.55 on tests and treatments.
I am told that her condition is improving and that her quality of life is still good, but these treatments have been really brutal on my savings and credit card. I am reaching out to community at this time, even though it is so hard on everyone right now, to see if anyone has any dollars to spare. If we are close, please do not feel any pressure to donate - I know how tough the cost of living is right now, even just sharing the fundraiser would be greatly appreciated.
Any financial support goes to:
-Medication (subcutaneous fluids, appetite stimulant, sedative for vet visits)
-Red blood cell/iron treatments
-Arthritis treatments
-Periodic testing
-Evo costs to and from the vet
I've shared some invoice screenshots from the last month below.
