Help Cover Critical Medical Expenses

Hello i am starting this gofundme in hopes to lessen the financial stress for our family, on 12/17 I went to the emergency room for fluid draining from my ear, nose and left eye, a CT was performed and was told I would need transported to a larger hospital because I had Mastoiditis. Once I arrived at the bigger hospital the on call surgeon wanted a CT of his own to see what he was up against. When he got the results he immediately informed my family that he would not be doing the surgery at that time because it was more serious than just mastoiditis, and that I in fact no longer had a mastoid bone due to infection and that my brain was drooping down into my ear canal and he quote “ did not feel comfortable performing surgery because there was no was to differentiate infection from neuro contents (brain matter)”. Lots of tests were done on the fluids I originally went in for and it was confirmed to be Cerebral spinal fluid. I was immediately admitted in order to research the cause and was assigned infectious disease team and more testing and an MRI was done, at that point we found out I have meningitis, I was put on 3 different brain penetrating antibiotics to try and clear it so I could have life saving surgery to repair my brain. After 3 very long confusing days they tested my Cerebral Spinal Fluid again and found that I at that point also had MRSA and was becoming septic. I was then moved to Neuro-ICU and prepped to have surgery an hour later. I am so grateful that the Doctors worked with their hearts and took such wonderful care of me, I was release to be with my family on Christmas Eve, I was release with a PICC line to continue home health and aggressive antibiotics, which it being the end of the year will not be covered by insurance. My 6 weeks of antibiotic infusions are $5,000. Which I paid my last $417 I had in the bank to get started the next payment of $417 is due on 1/24 which will be impossible for me to pay since I am unable to return to work for a long time. I also go to the infusion center every Tuesday for PICC line dressing change and maintenance which is $200 each time I go. I do need an MRI on 01/24 that I will need to pay out of pocket for and it has been quoted as $2,100. Plus the 6 follow up appointments I will need as of right now that are $75 each out of pocket. All of this and I still may need a second surgery to complete the cranial repair, the surgeries that were done on the 21st were to repair cerebral meninges open approach, repair of encephalitis open approach, cleaning of debris and mastoid remains and placing a drain tube in my ear drum in attempt to release any fluids or pressure on my brain. Honestly anything will add up and help with some of these very unexpected costs I have cause for my family.
