Help Cinya’s parents support her in the NICU

Donation protected

My Daughters name is Cinya Pinks, she was born prematurely January 20th, 2021. I had her at 31 weeks and two days. I just recently lost my son, Chancelor Pinks, he was born prematurely with collapsed lungs on March 18th, 2020; he passed away shortly after. His father and I were still healing from his loss while remaining hopeful that our baby girl would arrive healthy with no complications when we recently found out that his condition was reccouring in my second pregnancy with Cinya. Exactly one week before her birth, abnormalities were discovered on an ultrasound so we were sent to meet with several medical professionals that specialize in high risk pregnancies, fetal diagnostics, genetics, and neonatology in Iowa city just one day before she was unexpectedly delivered . The doctors in Iowa city are working diligently to care for her as we’ve learned so much about her in these last 3 months , her diagnosis is called GDLN which is extremely rare and ultimately has no blue print, we’re all just following Cinyas lead. On top of her diagnosis we are also dealing with issues related to her being premature. Today (4/21/21) she’s getting a tracheostomy and Gtube surgery to give her a different more secure location for support with her breathing since it’s believed that she will need breathing support for up to 2 years of her life. At the minimum, we have up to 4 months left at the hospital before she gets to come home.

My greatest wish is for myself and her father is to be able to be by our daughters side as she continues to fight for her life. Her lungs are in much better condition then they were when she got here, but she does have a chronic lung disease that makes all of her obstacles a little more challenging to conquer and they require more time. Miraculously she has shown so much progress and has exceeded the expectations that were talked about for her. Over the course of these next 4 months we will be being trained on how to care for her and meet all of her needs as she will be coming home with an at home ventilator. This means her father and I will not be able to be employed for roughly 4 months if not more. This GoFundMe was created in hopes our community can support us during this time so we may support Cinya.
