Churchlatin.com has been proposing a reprint of a beautiful edition of the Latin Vulgate Bible for many years now. We have finally obtained some excellent scans of the black and white edition of this bible and are ready to bring it back into print. We would like to raise enough funds to cover all of the costs for the first run of printing. These costs include: Payment for graphic design services for the cover, payment to the printer for printing and binding of the books, and payment of shipping charges of the books to my location. The mission of churchlatin.com has never been about growing a business for profit. It has always been about bringing forth rare and obscure books that foster the learning and use of Ecclesiastical Latin.
This beautiful edition of the Latin Vulgate Bible is both an icon of art, printing history, and a tool for reading The Holy Bible in Latin. The first printing run will be a short one, 100 copies or less. Proceeds from the sale of the first run will be used to fund additional runs of more copies. So if for some reason you miss out on the first printing run, there will be an immediate run just after or before the first run is gone. Estimated customer cost of each Vulgate will be $50 to $75 plus shipping. I will have more definitive pricing when I finalize the quote from the printer.
