Please help the Camden High School PTO Save Camden High School--"The Castle on the Hill"!

The NJ School Development Authority has issued a demolition contract to tear down Camden High School--"The Castle on the Hill." We must act to save Camden High School now!!!!
"The Castle on the Hill" represents hope and achievement to many students, alumni, and current and former residents of Camden. We want the castle preserved! Camden High School IS historic. It was built over 100 years ago in English Gothic Revival Style architecture and is amongst the only of its kind that exist in the State of New Jersey. The building has a historic preservation Certificate of Eligibility from the NJ Historic Preservation Office and was identified as one of Preservation NJ's 2017 Ten Most Endagered Historic Sites.
We are only weeks away from being on the agenda of the NJ State Review Board for Historic Sites for placement on the State and National Registers of Historic Places. And yet the building is in danger of being demolished. Our only recourse now is legal. And we need your help.
Camden High School is a four-year Comprehensive Community Public School that has served students in 9th grade through 12th grade from Camden City, Camden County, New Jersey. The school is part of the public school district classified as an Abbott District. Instead of demolishing the school, we believe there is potential to compromise: maintain the "castle"--the main building-- which is executed in English Tudor Gothic style with smooth-dressed Indiana limestone, terra cotta, and rough textured brick. And demolish the remaining buildings, constructing a 21st century edifice on the balance of the land. With this compromise, we believe that the students and community can have the best of both worlds: maintaining an iconic landmark and having a new, 21st century school building.
