Help Christina Live Fully in Her Final Chapter
Donation protected
Christina Murphy has been fighting cancer for the last year and now needs donations to cover basic living expenses while she focuses on her end-of-life goals and wishes, with the support and love of her community.
For those who don’t know, our beloved, feisty, funny, loving, and brilliant Christina was diagnosed with Stage 4 cervical cancer in December 2023. After a surgery and hopes that she had beat the cancer, Christina learned In November 2024 that it was back and had spread to other parts of her body. It is not curable. Christina stopped working in November and was hospitalized 2+ months, from late November till very recently, as doctors tried to shrink her tumors to extend her life. She did 2 rounds of chemotherapy. Like the warrior she is, she fought through the sickness and fatigue, but the chemo weakens a person’s immune system and makes them vulnerable to infections. Unfortunately, Christina came down with a life-threatening gastrointestinal infection and had to abandon treatment.
Christina is now home on hospice. She has goals to see her brother and sister who live in the Philippines whom she dearly misses, go to beaches in the Bay Area that she has never visited before, and stay well enough to finish all of her family affairs.
All donations of any size are helpful!! Christina is not receiving temporary disability yet and has run through her savings in the past few months. She has to pay rent, utilities, and basic expenses.
Christina’s biggest regret when she was first hospitalized was not being able to be on the street and in the community to help people who are unhoused. She is one of the most giving and generous people any of us know. Before cancer, she was working 3 jobs to pay her bills and send money to her sister and brother in the Philippines and give to everybody and anybody who needed anything. And now she needs us! Please give what you can to help Christina live the fullest she can for the time she has!
Christina thanks everyone for taking the time out to think about her.
Every donation, big or small, makes a difference. Thank you for your love and support!
