Help Chris Cooper through surgery and job loss!

Chris Cooper is what you would call a real one. If you know him, then you know what I mean. He's the honest type that doesn't hide behind small talk. It gets real, fast. Because there are things that matter and they need communicating! That's what I feel when I'm around him, anyhow.

If you haven't had the opportunity, make haste to hear the man play guitar. It's a lesson on the power of clarity and intent. Jam with him on a Tuesday night. Make a friend.  

Recently, Chris shared with myself and our bandmates that he'd be undergoing some surgeries that would keep him from playing with us for a little while. We were sympathetic to our friend and the stress this must be putting him through, but ultimately happy to see him taking care of his health. 

A week ago, amidst the stress of physical and financial preparations for surgery, Chris received the news that he and 3,000 others would suddenly be losing their jobs. Chris has been a baker for Earth Fare for 6 years now and their sudden closing has left him in an incredibly tough and uncertain position. 

I am asking for help on Chris' behalf. I'm grateful for the musical community that he's worked so hard to grow through his hosting of The Sovereign Kava Open Jam. I hope that we can come together and help to ease some of this burden for our friend.
