Help Chayse Support Melissa During Healing

My name is Tia Anderson. Melissa Plate is my sister. As most of you know, Melissa got really sick and was in the hospital for 2 weeks and is still not able to work. She is in need of constant care for her and her pets. Chayse, her son, has been able to come stay with her at her home but he lives and works in Bend and has not gotten a paycheck since arriving. I am hoping to raise some money for Chayse while she is recovering.

Hello everyone- some of you may not know but I’ve recently suffered a life threatening illness. August 26th I was rushed by ambulance to the ER. Severe sepsis, respiratory failure, pneumonia in both lungs, collapsed left lung, liver and kidney failure. I spent 10 days in the ICU with a chest tube and finally discharged home September 10th. My left lung is still mostly collapsed and I can only walk about 15 feet at this point. My amazing son Chayse dropped everything and has been with me since it happened helping me with EVERYTHING. His employer has been very supportive, but he’s living off what little savings he has and hasn’t gotten a paycheck this whole time. People keep asking how they can help. What I really need is help for my son to be able to stay a few more weeks until I can make my own meals, feed my animals, and do other basic things. Whether it’s help for my illness or a gift for my birthday (September 19th) this is what I need the most. I’m so thankful for all my friends and family and offer of help. Melissa
