Help cancer patient & stroke victim Jamie
Spende geschützt
Help cancer patient & stroke victim Jamie and his family through a terrible ordeal.
After an unexpected stroke at 37 years old, losing movement in his right hand, Jamie won’t be able to work to support his family and their home in the middle of a cost of living crisis.
Jamie is a diligent truck driver usually driving along the highway from the Riverina to Melbourne and return. He works long hours to support his two young boys and wife with their home, and has tried to continue working when he could whilst undergoing chemo & radiation therapy. A challenge many couldn’t endure.
In 2021 Jamie was working one day, when unbeknownst to him, the brain tumour that had been silently growing behind his ear, haemorrhaged. He was flown to St Vincent’s in Melbourne where they performed a lifesaving operation to remove part of the tumour. Brain tumours are complex and so they spent months studying his tumour and brain to ensure they didn’t damage any of the important tissues. After another operation months later, Jamie then underwent many rounds of Chemotherapy and radiation. All while experiencing the most terrible time in his young life, Jamie continued to work and support his young family. His two young sons 4 and 18 months old at the time, have watched their dad suffer through his cancer treatment and now suffering with loss of movement from an unexpected stroke.
We are raising money to help support this young family who have been dealt some of the worst luck, any amount would greatly help this young family and their two beautiful children. Any funds raised will go to Jamie and Emma-Jane who is managing Jamie’s affairs while he isn’t well.
