Hi friends! Unfortunately, our baby Butterball is going to need emergency surgery. He got attacked at the dog park by a much larger breed. Butterball is not aggressive at all and very playful; he could not defend himself. We reached out to the owners, and they don’t want to help. They disclosed to me their Cane Corso almost previously killed another dog at the Tustin Legacy Park, and we are worried he can harm other pups too. Butterball probably would’ve been dead if I hadn’t put my hand in the Corso's mouth. The owner could not get his supposedly trained dog to release Butterball and had him swinging like a rag doll from his jaw.

Prayers to my boy. He now needs to get this surgery as an infection has spread and now needs to be drained. He needs to be on medication for a while, and the wound will be a large hole until healed. His ear tissue is torn apart and needs to be reconstructed. Thank you to everyone for the support; we are extremely grateful.
