Help Build a Social Playground in Rural Georgia
Spende geschützt
We are the Parzival Youth Society, a group of young educators, artists, and changemakers based in Georgia. Since 2020, we've been on a mission to respond to social and educational challenges made painfully clear by the pandemic. Our dream? To build spaces where children and youth can thrive through creativity, connection, and care.
In the remote Georgian village of Matsevani, there was no school. The nearest village only teaches up to 9th grade. In response, we founded the Parzival School, guided by Waldorf principles and a deep belief in the potential of every child. But now we need your help to bring the next part of our dream to life.
Why We Need Your Support
We are building a participatory natural playground on the grounds of our school — a place for children to play, explore, and grow. This will be more than a playground. It will be:
- A safe and joyful space for over 50 children from Matsevani and nearby villages.
- A hands-on experience for international and local volunteers to collaborate, build, and connect.
- model for alternative education and child-centered design in Georgia.
Together with our partner, KuKuk Kultur e.V. from Germany, we will create this playground using natural materials and involve children and young people in the building process. It’s a celebration of community, creativity, and care for nature.
How the Project Will Work
Dates: June 29 – July 6
Team: 3 master builders from KuKuk Kultur + 18 international volunteers

Why It Matters
- Children in rural Georgia rarely have access to safe, engaging, and developmental play spaces.
- This playground will foster motor development, creativity, and social learning.
- The project will serve as a blueprint for similar initiatives across the country.
- It's a rare opportunity for cross-cultural exchange and grassroots cooperation.
- We believe that every child deserves a place to play — and a community that builds it with love.
