Help build a mosque on behalf of Sofia Begum

Hi,

I cannot believe I am having to write this. My beautiful mum Sofia Begum has left this world. My mother was a pious woman who was all about giving. She gave birth to 10 children and never rested a day in her life. She was a full time carer for my two disabled sisters and the void she has left behind can never be filled. She was a proud grandmother to 8 grandchildren who she loved so dearly.

My mother was a proud Muslim who adored Islam. Growing up she didn’t have much to give us but one thing we can never repay her for was the deen she’s instilled into each of us. She would tell us stories about the prophets over and over again and each time we would have to pretend that it was the first time we heard it, she wanted to see the excitement in our eyes every time. Her heart was attached to Makkah and Madinah and she was so excited to go back there once the COVID-19 restrictions were to ease.

My mother was always giving charity, she didn’t care about materialistic things she would save every penny to donate to charity, she was preparing for her afterlife this entire time.

I would like to raise money on behalf of Ummah welfare trust to build a mosque in my mums name.

Whosoever builds a house (masjid) for the pleasure of Allah, whether it be small or large, Allah builds for him a house in Paradise.

Please can I request that you help us reach our target so this can be sadaqah jariah for my mum. Please also pray for my mums forgiveness and that Allah grants her the highest ranks of Jannah Ameen.

Any extra money raised will be used towards my mums favourite charity projects such as water wells and orphan sponsorship.
