Help Bring Locals Luck

We are raising money for all the VI locals that need help rebuilding their lives after Hurricane Irma and upcoming Hurricane Maria.  All funds will be used for the people we know personally that are in the utmost need of help.  For instance, our friend Lucinda, who not only is the best laundry lady ever was always there to give us a big hug and a chat when we needed it most, has lost her roof and is unable to live in her house. We are talking about the simple things that will make day to day life a little bit easier and a little bit better everyday; such as supplies, clothing, shelter, food, water, etc.  Things that are taken for granted in every day life are the most important things needed now.  The little island of St. Thomas is our home, so we need to help those that have always called it home and have embraced us as friends and family.

My name is Melissa O'Brien and I live in St. Thomas, VI.  I currently am in CT to raise money and get supplies to bring back to the Virgin Islands and the people of the Virgin Islands.  As said above our main goal is to raise money for the locals I have met over the years that need it most.  These are coworkers, friends, family of friends, and all of our island family.  We will buy water, food, tarps (acting as roofs), clothes, sunscreen, first aid supplies, lights, hopefully even generators - anything that will help every day life.  I will be withdrawing the money from the gofundme page and spedning it at Home Depot, Lowes, grocery stores, Cosco and then packing it up and checking it on my next flight down or in the case of bigger items shipping it as necessary.  thanks again everyone!p
