It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved Derrick Wright (September 24, 1993 – March 21, 2026), a proud Air Force veteran, a cherished son, brother,uncle & devoted friend .

Derrick served his country with honor and strength, and those who knew him will always remember his kindness, loyalty, and the love he gave so freely. His loss has left a tremendous void in the lives of all who loved him.

We are organizing this fundraiser on behalf of his mother, Ja-Nice Cunningham, and his girlfriend, Karen Marcial-Segura, who are navigating this heartbreaking time while also facing unexpected financial burdens.

Our goal is to raise $27,000 to cover funeral and memorial expenses, as well as the cost of transporting Derrick from California back to his hometown of Birmingham, Alabama, where he will be laid to rest among family and loved ones.

We humbly ask for your support in helping us honor Derrick’s life and legacy. Any contribution, no matter the amount, will go directly toward ensuring he receives the dignified farewell he deserves.
