My name is Julian, but everyone calls me Juli.

I am 23 years old, a student, and for the past 22 months I have been battling HER2-positive breast cancer. I was diagnosed in 2024 , and since that moment, my life completely changed.

Before my diagnosis, I was studying and working part time to build my future. I tried my best to continue with my normal life even while going through treatments and health complications, but eventually my body became too weak. I reached a point where I had to stop everything.

These past months have been physically, emotionally, and financially exhausting. I lost my insurance coverage during this period, and without insurance, my medications and treatments became extremely expensive. On top of that, everyday living expenses became harder and harder to manage.

I never imagined that at 23 years old I would be fighting for my health while also worrying about how to afford treatment. No one really prepares you for how expensive it is to be sick. Cancer does not just affect your body, it impacts every part of your life.

To continue my care and cover urgent medical expenses, I had no choice but to take on debt and overdraft my account by 4,867 euros. Asking for help is not easy for me, but right now I truly cannot do this alone.
