Support Bliss' Battle Against Cancer

Bliss came to us a few years ago, rescued by my late father, Clay. My father was an avid animal lover and saved her from an abusive owner. She's been through a lot and means the world to our family.

This year has been *incredibly* difficult as my father recently passed away on March 6th from Alzheimer's. In early April, we took her to the vet for what we believed was a hurt leg and infection but was later revealed through an X-ray to be a mass inside her left lung. In addition to this difficult news, Bliss's sister, Bean, has been having health issues that required repeated, costly echocardiograms. This depleted our budget for veterinary care, only to determine that Bean's condition is terminal.

Our family is emotionally devastated and financially tapped.

Between the funeral expenses to honor my father and the veterinary expenses for Bean, we are devastated that we cannot afford the treatments that could save Bliss' life.

While I have picked up a second job to assist my mother financially, as she has lost income from my father's passing, it simply isn't enough to cover the cost of Bliss's upcoming CT Scans and Surgery which has been estimated to cost a little upwards of $6,000.

While I struggled with the embarrassment of asking for help, I could never forgive myself for not putting aside my own shortcomings to save her wonderful life.

She has her final consult this Friday, June 21st before the CT and (most likely) same-day surgery as her doc at CVSG in Littleton prefers to operate same day as the scan (pending findings) while they are already under anesthesia. So, the date is fast approaching within the next 2 weeks. ******
