Berniece Walker needs your help.

Hi, my name is Tim Walker and I'm fundraising for my mother Berniece Walker. She is 95 and living in an assisted living facility for over 3 1/2 years. The picture is her recently at her great grandson's 1st birthday party. In the last few months, she has needed more and more daily care as her mobility has greatly diminished. At present time the cost to stay there is between $9000 and $10,000 per month.

At the start of her stay at the assisted living home she was more than able to pay for the facility due to her diligent saving that she practiced her whole adult life. She had invested her saving in a private capital firm that invested in single-family homes. For over 5 years the fund earned a good return and she was living off of the interest, until the last few months we have been withdrawing from the principal. She still had enough in the account for another 7+ years of care.

In the last few weeks, I have learned that the private capital firm had run into management problems and had filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. Her account is frozen with no possible withdrawal of funds for the next 6 months. And, it could be longer! Plus, the total amount will be reduced by over 50%.

In the long term, I'm working on ways to increase my earnings so that I can pay for her expenses. But, in the short term, Berniece needs your help. Both my mother and I never thought she would be in this position but due to the lack of management and integrity of the fund she is in and due to no fault of hers, she is.

Please, help my mother, Berniece Walker with as much as you can to help fund her assisted living expenses. All funds raised will be used for the care of my mother, Berniece Walker.
