Help Bernie, the Dollar Cinema icon

For all the dollar cinema and Bernie fans this one's for you! A special screening of a '90s movie will be playing on July 17th at 8:00 p.m. in honor of the end of an era at the dollar cinema. As many of you might know the cinema will be closing its doors on July 31st therefore we are organizing a goodbye event as well as celebrating 18 years of service and Bernie's birthday. Come show some love for the man who does it all from serving the snacks to playing the movies himself 7 days a week. Not only does he run the show but he's kept his promise of keeping his prices affordable for the community and we appreciate that especially in times like these. Sadly, with movies at $2.50 and snacks at $1 it was just not financially feasible to keep the cinema going. "They think I'm nuts for not raising my prices. My cost of popcorn have gone way up, the price of the oil has tripled. But I would just feel bad asking for more" To give back and thank Bernie the tickets for the special event will be $10 and all proceeds will go to him. Snacks and pizza will be available for the special night with us behind the counter and Bernie greeting you at the door.
