Hello my name is Isabella Nicole Arteaga I am 9 years old but my mom calles me Bella. I have Trisomy 21 , I am a very happy little girl. I love dancing, playing outside , going to the park & enjoy being around mommie. My favorite movies are nacho libre and white chicks movie, love making my mom and sister melannie laugh and I also love maruchan noodle soups. I am battling leukemia cancer for the 2nd time. The first time I was diagnosed when I was 5 years old. I was very brave, was able to beat cancer and be cancer free for 3 years. Unfortunately 3 months back in 2024 I was not feeling well and I was feeling tired and without energy. My mom took me to the ER and my mom was informed my cancer leukemia was back. They admitted me and started treatment right way. I was doing well with the treatment at first but unfortunately soon after they installed the port for chemotherapy I got an infection that was attacking my ( organs ) kidney, lungs, heart, liver. I am now intubated unable to breathe in my own. I had multiple surgeries to help with the organ failure but unfortunately no success, my kidney are failing and am on dialysis’s. The doctors informed my mom and family there is nothing else they can do for me anymore. I am not hurting, the doctors are keeping me comfortable.

This is a very difficult time for me and my oldest daughter and my family. My daughter Bella is a very beautiful girl & has a beautiful soul , She has brought so much love, kindness and joy into my life and the life’s of my family. Bella has taught me how to be brave, strong and how to become a better mom and better person. I am very grateful for the time I had with my daughter. For all the love, memories, adventure and happiness I was able to give into my daughter Bella’s life. I am also grateful for the love I received from my daughter and all the memories we had. Hola, mi nombre es Isabella Arteaga , tengo 9 años, pero mi mamá me llama Bella. Tengo síndrome de Down , Soy una niña muy feliz. Me encanta bailar, ir a fiestas, me encanta la película Nacho Libre y White Chicks, me encanta hacer reír a mi mamá y a mi hermana Melannie y también me encantan las sopas maruchas. Estoy luchando contra el cáncer por segunda vez. La primera vez que me diagnosticaron fue cuando tenía 5 años. Fui muy valiente, pude vencer el cáncer y estar libre de cáncer durante 3 años. Desafortunadamente, hace 3 meses no me sentía bien y me sentía cansada y sin energía. Mi mamá me llevó al hospital y le informaron que mi leucemia por cáncer había regresado. Me ingresaron y comenzaron el tratamiento de inmediato. Al principio me iba bien con el tratamiento, pero desafortunadamente, poco después de que me instalaran el port para la quimioterapia, tuve una infección que atacó mis ( órganos ) riñones, pulmones, higado, corazon . Ahora estoy entubada y no puedo respirar por mi misma . También tuve múltiples cirugías para ayudar con la falla orgánica, pero desafortunadamente no tuvieron éxito; mis riñones están fallando y estoy en diálisis. Los médicos le informaron a mi madre y a mi familia que ya no hay nada más que puedan hacer por mí. No siento dolor porque los médicos me mantienen cómoda.
