My name is Emily and I’m raising funds to support a special family in their time of need.

I’ve known my beautiful friend Jess for 22 years. She is one of the kindest, most loyal people I know. She is the type of person who would never ask for help, even in her hardest moments. But right now, she and her partner Nathan are living every parent’s worst nightmare, and they need our community to rally around them.

Today, 11 August 2025, their precious 5-month-old son Valentine, twin brother to Kingston and adored little brother to Bambi and Amani, suffered a severe brain bleed after an accidental fall from the couch. He was rushed into emergency surgery where the incredible medical team removed a large clot and placed a monitor to track pressure inside his brain.

Valentine is now being transferred to Sydney Children’s Hospital to receive specialist paediatric care. The coming days and weeks will be critical as doctors work tirelessly to give him the best possible chance of recovery.

Nathan is a sole trader, and this unexpected crisis means both Jess and Nathan need to be by Valentine’s side, away from home, for as long as it takes. The funds we raise will help ease the financial strain, covering travel, accommodation, loss of income, and any medical or rehabilitation costs that arise along the way.
