Help Baby Mari

As some of you may know for the past several days baby Mari has become very sick while visiting her great grandparents in California. Things became serious quickly and She had a part of her intestine twisted which caused an intestinal blockage. This was caused by scar tissue from her corrective diaphragmatic surgery when she was first born. They cut out the damaged piece and reattached it to the remaining intestine. She is currently in the PICU. Currently the site is still open to monitor excess fluids and infection. The hope is she will recover and get the site closed within the week. She still has a long recovery but the doctors are feeling hopeful that with the infected area out she will start recovering. She has had surgery and will be here in California recovering for an undetermined amount of time. In the time Andrea and Carlos will be staying with her through this recovery period until given the ok to be transported home. As we all know even with insurance, the medical costs are financially debilitating as will be the cost to be here with her in an unfamiliar city. Every little bit counts and we hope to raise enough money to pay off some of these expenses. I am lucky enough to call this little family my family and any help and support we can give them will make such a difference.
