My name is Ayla and I'm a very down on her luck trans girl who desperately needs help at the moment

I never thought I’d be here asking for help like this, but life has thrown a lot at me recently, and I’m doing my best to stay on my feet.

Not long ago, my girlfriend and I were on a road trip when we got into a serious accident. We hydroplaned during heavy rain and ended up crashing into a truck. Thankfully, no one was seriously injured—but our car was completely totaled.

As if that wasn’t enough, we just found out our insurance won’t cover the accident. My girlfriend’s license had been suspended due to a missed insurance payment she wasn’t even aware of—something neither of us had any idea about until after the crash. Because of that technicality, we’re now without a car and facing the costs entirely on our own.

This car wasn’t just a convenience—it was my lifeline. I used it to get to work, run errands, and keep life moving. Now I’m facing this huge setback without the resources to replace what was lost.

To make things even harder, this all came right after a deeply draining experience at home. Someone I tried to help—someone from the LGBTQ+ community who needed a place to stay—ended up taking advantage of my kindness. They stayed much longer than we had agreed, used my home and utilities without contributing meaningfully, and left me feeling emotionally manipulated and financially depleted. I opened my home in good faith, and I’m still trying to recover from that experience—mentally and financially.

With both situations happening back-to-back, I’m overwhelmed and trying to find a way forward. I’m asking for help to raise $5000 to put toward a reliable used vehicle and to help stabilize my life again after everything that’s happened.
