Help Avalanche Sneaux Company

Hello friends,

My home state of Louisiana is known for a few really special things- incredible music, mouthwatering soul food, and snoballs. Since I was a small kid, I have dreamed of owning a snoball stand and I can think of no better way to bridge my beloved hometowns than by bringing a snoball stand to the 901. Last year, my friend and business partner Adam Kilkenny and I gathered our resources, raised some additional funds, and purchased a fully equipped 7x14 foot trailer and Sno-Block. That was the beginning of Avalanche Sneaux Company (ASCo). Our mission is to provide a healthy twist on a southern classic while employing Memphis' greatest asset- its artists.

ASCo sneauxballs aren't the snocones you're used to. We make our snoballs with natural products and refined sugar-alternative fruit syrups and top them with fresh fruit and decadent coconut cream. If you come for the sno, stay for the gumbo. In the fall and winter, we'll feature my Grandma's famous recipe that has already stolen the hearts and bellies of my Memphis friends.

Our vision is to create a community go-to spot for delicious, unique eats buzzing with ooey gooey creative energy and big southern love. To bring this vision to life, we need your help. Since we bought the trailer/future home of ASCo, we've had to repair the ice maker, replace the wall voltage for the Sno-Block, install a new water tank, and repair busted pipes. We've paid for it all out of pocket, in addition to our monthly loan and insurance. In November 2021, I bought a pickup truck to pull the trailer and in April of this year, that pickup was stolen from my driveway. The 5 people responsible wrecked and totaled it, leaving me no choice but to buy a new one. All of this has created a financial hole we've now got to dig our way out of.

The process of turning ASCo into a reality has taken many unfortunate turns, but my dream is alive as ever and I cannot wait to invite all of you to Avalanche Sneaux Company's opening one day very soon. I am not one to ask for help, but Memphis is a city full of people who take care of each other and support each other's dreams, so I am asking you, dear friends, to give what you can to help bring ASCo to life. No gift is too small (or too big!) and every penny will be put to necessary use, getting the trailer fit for business, securing a truck to pull it, and purchasing supply inventory.

Thank you is not enough, but I am so grateful to you for your belief in me, in my business, and in the Memphis artists who will be Avalanche Sneaux Company's heartbeat.

With "sneaux” much gratitude and love,
Jarrad and Adam
