Help another mother Fundraiser for Aoibhneas

The Mams on the mic podcast has two sides, one where we chat about everyday life and another where we strive to raise awareness and make a difference. 

In Ireland domestic violence reports have raised by 30% since the first lockdown started in March. Supports to victims of domestic abuse are extremely important, they quite literally save lives.

We decided to use our platform to raise funds for Aoibhneas domestic abuse support for women and children. In 2019 Aoibhneas supported 116 families, and 174 children with access to refuge. And supported women through 12,630 interventions, which included 560 support groups and 512 holistic services attended.  They provide access to a 24 hour helpline and in 2019 provided support via this helpline with 8,181 calls. They provide a court accompaniment and preparation service for women seeking legal advice and going through legal proceedings. 

With the funds raised through this appeal Aoibhneas will give the power back to these women, giving them the choice of vouchers, toys, food, and any help they feel they would like at this tough time. Giving the control and power back to their clients.
