Help Anna buy her first (used) car!

I am a disabled and chronically ill ecologist, writer, artist, and educator. When this long-term need is finally addressed, I will have more time, energy, and flexibility to give back to my community. Some of my goals include teaching kiddos at Flying Pig Farm more frequently, facilitating more offerings in relational mycology education for all ages, and publishing my first book!

MOBILITY • AGENCY • POSSIBILITY

MOBILITY: With my increasing physical limitations, biking, walking, and public transit have become difficult and uncomfortable. Not to mention, parts of Colorado Springs are rather unsafe for pedestrians and cyclists. Having a car will decrease the frequency of my pain flares and allow me to more safely navigate the city and surrounding areas.

AGENCY: In addressing my ongoing health concerns, I have regular weekly appointments with care practitioners. Having a car will provide me with the agency to expand my access to these doctors. It will also provide easier access to community gatherings and quiet outdoor spaces away from the city, which are essential for my overall well-being.

POSSIBILITY: Finding employment without a car has been… well… harrowing, to say the least. Wheels will significantly increase my access to appropriate job opportunities and my ability to earn a more stable income in the long term. It will also open many other doors in life, as one might expect!
