The Southern of Brazil, Rio Grande do Sul is going through record-breaking storms with catastrophic consequences, the water keeps rising and the forecast is of heavy rain and low temperatures.

Please watch the reels and stories on the link below so you can have an idea of what is hard to describe in words, even though it’s in Portuguese you will see and feel what the animals and rescuers are going through. There are people working night and day with water up to their necks to save as many lives as they can, these people lost everything themselves.

These are the Instagram accounts of two of the front-line workers, they show parts of the day-to-day rescues:

It’s difficult to go back to life as usual when you watch these videos, so please spare 2 minutes to donate, any $ amount counts, this will have a huge impact on these lives.

I'll be distributing the funds raised from this fundraiser among trusted front-line workers like the ones you can see in the Instagram link above who are working day and night to rescue animals so they can source boats, food, blankets, medication, shelter and ultimately a sanctuary for small and large animals.

Once the water goes down, they will still be left with all these animals to look after until they can be re-homed, which will be extremely challenging considering many people have lost their homes.
