We are still $1,000 away from getting Angel the updated vet visit and physical therapy plan she desperately needs to help her walk again. She’s been such a fighter, but she still wears a diaper, and her foster is doing everything possible to keep her healthy. Now, she urgently needs to see a specialist to get the care and support she deserves.

Help Angel Walk Again: A Journey to Recovery

Angel’s story is one of incredible resilience and determination. Rescued from the Ravenswood projects after being struck by a car, Angel was in a dire condition. She couldn’t walk, had a severe infected wound on her back limbs, and was too weak to eat or drink.

On her first day with us, we immediately gave her IV fluids to stabilize her, and took her to the vet the following day. The prognosis was grim—the vet suggested that euthanasia might be the most humane option given her poor quality of life. But we couldn’t give up on Angel.

We decided to fight for her, and she started an intensive care regimen including physical therapy, X-rays, neurological consultations, and a dedicated home exercise program. Slowly but surely, Angel began to improve, showing her incredible spirit.

Today, Angel is the queen of her foster home. However, her journey isn’t over. Angel still can’t walk normally, tires easily, and wears a diaper that her foster changes 4-5 times a day while helping her with home exercises.

Angel’s progress has been inspiring, but she needs continued physical therapy, check-ups, and a new exercise program to keep moving forward. We’re trying to raise $1,000 to support her recovery.
