Hey there! I'm Samuele Sasa Sartori. I'm a student at the Piet Zwart Academy in Rotterdam! I've been given an incredible opportunity: screening a short movie at the renowned Eye Filmmuseum in Amsterdam. I decided, therefore, to continue the shooting of a short film called Turiya and the Slayer, a medieval fantasy short movie that deals with the oppressive nature of traditions, cast, and grief.

Turiya and the Slayer is an ambitious project sustained by a group of extremely talented and diverse artists with a particular dedication to their craft, that already worked a lot on the creation of a teaser video. From the costumes and wearable art of Savannah to the meticulous camera work of Matheus, including the participation of the band Lijkschouwer and long-time collaborator Koen Baakman in Studio Duingruis for the creation of the soundscape. Last but not least, the project includes performance artist Joelle and emerging actor Storm.

We already shot a teaser to convey what kind of aesthetic and style the short movie will be, but we need your help for the next steps on this path. Savannah is tirelessly working on the creation of original costumes for the short. Furthermore, we would need support for catering, equipment, transportation, accommodation, and, for once, I’d like to recompense all the heavy work of everyone involved.

Support your local filmmakers, donate now, even a few bucks can make a major difference!
