Help Amy get mobile & independent
Our daughter Amy, who is 21, has cerebral palsy with four limb motor disorder and dystonia. She is a permanent wheelchair user. We have been trying for years to get her a powered wheelchair, but unfortunately our local authority will not even part fund one. She has been trialling a motorised chair at College and has shown excellent progress and continued motivation. Having one of her own would greatly increase her independence and give her (and us as a family) more opportunities to access many community activities, which at present are extremely limited.
She has overcome so many challenges in her life and has yet to meet her full potential. She is always happy and smiling and has unwavering determination in everything she does. She is a true inspiration to us all.
We have been given two quotes and will be applying to charities, in the hope that she can have one by the end of this year. We need to raise just over £10,000.
Your donation will give Amy a life changing opportunity to live her life to the full.
